Welcome — your subscription is active
Thank you. Before your first request, we need your brand intake. A complete intake is worth roughly a week of avoided revision rounds — it is the highest-return hour you will spend on this subscription.
Brand intake — what to send
- Logo files in vector format (AI, EPS or SVG) plus any approved variants
- Brand colour values — HEX and RGB, plus CMYK if you expect print work
- Fonts, with licence confirmation, or the names of the fonts you use
- Existing brand guidelines if any exist, however rough
- Three to five examples of design you like, with a note on why
- Two or three examples of design you dislike — usually more useful than the likes
- Your photo, icon and illustration library, or the stock accounts we should pull from
- The sizes and formats you request most often
- Who approves work, and whether anyone else needs to see it first
- Any accessibility requirements, such as minimum contrast or type size
How to write a brief that comes back right first time
The difference between a two-round request and a six-round request is almost never the designer. It is the brief. Five things, every time:
- What it is for. Not “an Instagram post” — “an Instagram post announcing our webinar, aimed at operations managers, running two weeks.”
- Exact dimensions and format, including where it will appear.
- Final copy. Not placeholder you intend to replace — copy changes reflow design, and reflowing design is a round.
- Assets attached, at the highest resolution you have, not pulled from a website.
- One reference, with a sentence on what specifically you like about it. One good reference beats five contradictory ones.
What happens next
- Send the intake by replying to your receipt email.
- We set up your request board and send you the link.
- On Pro, your dedicated designer is assigned and your brand profile is documented.
- Submit your first request — most clients start with a template system for their most repeated format, which pays off across everything after it.
Your full service specification — scope, workflow and terms — is sent alongside your request board link.
